Oceanfront Vacation Condo on Molokai, the Friendly Isle. Wavecrest A Building
Aloha. Slow Down...... you're on Molokai!
Our 2nd Floor Oceanfront Condo is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing visit to the island of Molokai. When we mention oceanfront, we mean about 40 feet from the ocean. The condo is located at the Wavecrest Resort which is on the lush East End of the island. It is a one-bedroom unit with a fully outfitted kitchen plus a bathroom with a step in shower. Enjoy ocean views as you prepare dinner or relax in the living room. Fall asleep at night listening to the ocean.
From the lanai you can watch the morning sunrise over Maui. In the winter months (January through April) you can watch whales jumping in the channel between Molokai and the island of Lanai. Later, you can enjoy a glass of wine as you star gaze.
Want to socialize? Visit the resort pool to catch a few rays or relax in the cabana which has lounge chairs and comfy seats. There are also gas BBQs and tables with chairs if you want to have a meal there. The pool and cabana is also oceanfront! There are also tennis courts and shuffle board on the property, which are free for guests to use.
This is Old Hawaii but our condo is modern and well maintained. Included is a "private" WiFi connection which works much better than the "free" WiFi that most rentals offer. We also have an internet connected printer so if you need to print your flight boarding passes, you can do it in the condo. We personally live in the resort (same building) so we make sure the condo stays in good shape and is thoroughly cleaned after each use.
The true reason to visit Molokai is to relax and enjoy the spirit of Aloha. There are free weekly opportunities to hear island elders sing and play music. Chances are, if you visit a local beach, you might be the only people there. If you are looking for adventure, try the cultural hike in Halawa Valley. There are organized tours to visit Kalaupapa, the former leper colony located on a remote peninsula of the island. Other options include the Macadamia Nut Farm, the Kalaupapa overlook, visiting a Flower Farm or the Old Sugar Mill, walking on one of the longest beaches in Hawaii, exploring the Made on Molokai gift shop and more.
But again, the true reason to visit Molokai is to relax. We don't have traffic lights and a traffic jam is 3-4 cars on the road at the same time. We don't recommend Molokai if you are looking for fancy restaurants or luxury shopping.
We welcome you to visit our home and look forward to meeting you soon. If you are staying 7 or more nights, we provide a discount. For those snow birds, we offer an even much more generous discount for 4 weeks or more.
